FromJanuary 1, any Payment Through Unified Payment Interface (UPI) will be Expensive Across the Country.Users third party Apps, this Charge will be charged.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has Decided to Levy an Additional Charge on UPI Payment Services from January 1. NPCI has Imposed a 30% cap on third party Apps Across the Country Since the New year. NPCI has taken this Decision to Prevent any Future Monopoly of any third party app and to prevent it from getting special benefits as per the size.


People willhave to pay extra for making payments from third party apps like Phonepay, google Pay, Amazon Pay. while NPCI hasnot Charged extra cap on an app like Paytm.

According to th government , about 200 Crore UPI transactions are being done every month in the country through various payment apps.The Government says the number of UPI Transactions in the Country will increase in the Coming days. which is a good sign for the goal of digital India but there is also the possibility of a monopoly of a third party app on UPI Transactions though not Appropriate in this direction.
